DÜKER.ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SINCE 2012.
Düker has been around for 555 years and sustainability has long been anchored in our corporate culture. Accordingly, since 2012 we have successfully certified our environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and our energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001. We use these systems in a targeted manner to continuously improve our environmental performance.
Our Mission: CARBON NEUTRAL BY 2044.
We have set ourselves ambitious goals for the future. In 2044, besides celebrating our 575th anniversary, our goal is to operate on a completely carbon-neutral basis through measures that have yet to be defined.

Düker has always focused on longevity and sustainable management. We protect our valuable resources through effective recycling management and are constantly reinventing ourselves to meet the demands and opportunities of a rapidly changing world.
As a solution provider specialising in the supply of (drinking) water, we feel a great sense of responsibility – because water is vital for all of us. An inefficient supply system and thus the waste of this precious resource is unacceptable. Which is why we develop reliable, long-lasting solutions that are not only designed to supply and transport water, but also to ensure water conservation. Our company is increasingly focusing on smart solutions. These pioneering technologies provide new opportunities to establish and maintain a transparent and highly efficient water supply system.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY.
Conserving resources begins with the materials we use – a key aspect being the circular economy. We manufacture our products from various recycled materials including foundry sand, waste powder (from coating processes) and iron dust, among others. We offer our customers a take-back guarantee, enabling us to transform old products into completely new ones. Thanks to innovative technologies such as enamel coating, we achieve a long lifespan, further reducing CO2 emissions.

Therefore, every purchase of enamelled products actively contributes to resource conservation and environmental protection.
When you buy enamelled Düker products, two essential aspects come into play. Firstly, our solutions are extremely durable, and the less frequently a product needs to be replaced, the more sustainable it is.
Secondly, an often overlooked fact is that we have short delivery routes to our customers. The CO2 emissions in supply chains are a topic that receives little attention. Too little, in our opinion. Ultimately, long transport routes have a hugely negative impact on a company’s ecological footprint. We keep ours as short as possible by leveraging our central location in Germany and Europe.
ENERGY AND WATER CONSUMPTION.
Since 2012, Düker GmbH’s energy management system and environmental management system have been continuously certified in accordance with DIN ISO 50001 and DIN ISO 14001. From 2019 to 2022, we achieved an average annual reduction of 10.4% in our energy consumption and 7.9% in our drinking water consumption.
The values were determined based on measurements taken with calibrated meters. Energy consumption refers to the use of the energy sources electricity and gas in our production facilities. Our average annual water and energy consumption from 2022 to 2023 shows a further improvement compared to these values.
SUSTAINABILITY STARTS WITH US.EVEN ON A SMALL SCALE.
We want to go above and beyond the mandatory sustainability reporting – after all, sustainability is anchored in our corporate culture.
It is the small steps that add up to make a big difference.
For example, we largely avoid single-use products in our factory and, by installing water dispensers, have managed to keep the number of disposable and plastic bottles used by our employees to a minimum.
For several years now, Düker has also used a sustainable stand at trade fairs. Our modular system allows flexible use for different exhibition concepts and is so robust that the modules can be reused in subsequent years. Additionally, the floor panels can be easily recycled after the event; for example, for the construction of garden sheds. This year, the entire Düker trade fair team at IFAT will wear clothing made exclusively from organic cotton, which consumes 91% less water during production. We also use drinking glasses, flyers made from recycled paper and other sustainable materials.
