PRODUCTION: HOW CASTING WORKS.AND HOW WE DO IT.

We manufacture cast iron drainage technology for the Drainage division as well as valves and fittings for the Flow Control division. This starts with pattern construction and extends to the production of core boxes and small, medium and large series casting. The central elements of our facilities are the cupola furnace and the centrifugal casting plant using the hot moulding process with automatic casting equipment in Karlstadt as well as the electric furnaces in Laufach. We also specialise in coating and enamelling in the field of surface protection. We are very flexible in everything that we do – to meet your needs.

QUALITY

CASTING IN PRODUCTIONWHAT’S IMPORTANT TO US.

Dueker is certified according to ISO 9001. Our process and production monitoring is carried out in coordination with the DVGW (German Association for Gas and Water Applications), the EADIPS® (European Association for Ductile Iron Pipe Systems) and the GEG (Quality Association for Cast Iron Drainage Technology). This gives you, our customers, the assurance that we always meet high product quality requirements, especially in very sensitive areas of application.

We set standards in all process steps – in development, production and service. Dueker products stand out due to their long service life and incorporate state-of-the-art technology. They are always manufactured in reproducible process steps – in accordance with regularly monitored quality standards.

Our quality management involves continuous training of our employees. We test delivered raw materials and carry out spectral analyses of the materials. We also subject our products to physical inspections such as tensile tests according to ISO 6892-1, impact tests according to ISO 148-1 and Brinell hardness tests according to ISO 6506-1. Furthermore, we ensure the quality of our solutions using metallographic examinations and ultrasonic testing as well as core and moulding sand tests. Component geometry and dimensional accuracy are subject to constant monitoring using modern 3D measuring technology. Just like all ongoing processes. This is precisely what makes our solutions premium solutions.

MATERIALS

GREY CAST IRON AND DUCTILE CAST IRON.IN A MULTITUDE OF GRADES.

Dueker has unique expertise in cast iron. Cast iron combines excellent properties such as tightness, no maintenance requirements and a long service life, making it perfect for applications in water supply and disposal. And most importantly, our cast iron products are incredibly sustainable. They are made one hundred percent from scrap iron. And once they have done their job, they can be reprocessed to create new products.

On the one hand, Dueker specialises in grey cast iron with finely distributed lamellar graphite (EN-GJL-150 to 300), which is used in the Drainage division. On the other hand, in the Flow Control division, we specialise in ductile cast iron – i.e. the processing of malleable cast iron in various grades (EN-GJS-400-15; EN-GJS-400-18; EN-GJS-500-7; EN-GJS-600-3; EN-GJS-700-2).

We also supply silicon castings upon request. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

SURFACE PROTECTION

COATING AND ENAMEL.WE ARE MASTERS OF THIS.

The demands on water supply and disposal have always been exceptionally high – and this remains the case. Corrosion is still the main cause of pipeline damage. Effective and durable surface protection is required to cope with any situation. We can provide this.

We have mastered a wide range of adapted and application-oriented linings made of cement mortar, epoxy powder coatings, various special coatings and, most importantly, enamels. Enamel is the best, long-term surface protection against corrosion and guarantees maximum hygiene.

We have been specialising in enamel since 1918 when Friedrich Wilhelm Dueker, who we are now named after, brought his expertise to the company. Consisting of natural raw materials such as quartz, feldspar, borax, soda and metal oxides, this special glass forms a chemical bond with the substrate during enamelling. This is precisely why enamel has such a unique effect in terms of corrosion resistance, impact resistance, resistance to incrustation and acids, deposits of bacteria, wear and abrasion.
