Centrifugal casting machines with one mould for small-scale series and special applications

 

This machine type works with only one mould. All work steps are carried out one after the other.

As the output amounts to only a few products per hour (depending on the level of automation and the wall thickness of the product), this machine type is particularly suitable for special applications or small-scale series.

Lengths of up to 6000 mm are possible, the diameters range between 30 and 800 mm with the corresponding unit weights. The diameter however also depends on the product length and the material.

Every machine of this type has a basic equipment of:

machine partially automated
  • roller station with controlled electrical drive
  • SPS control
  • display of the mould rotation speed
  • manual mould lock 
  • movable spraying lance with electric drive (automatic spraying, manual height adjustment and moving into work position)
  • display of mould temperatures on 2/3 positions (depending on the mould length)
  • mould cooling (minimum adjustable by hand)
  • gas burner for mould pre-heating
  • manually adjustable pouring nozzle (position with reference to the mould)
  • various splashboards with integrated connections for dust extracting equipment



This machine type is used for the manufacture of:

  • sleeves made of brass (e.g. raw castings for bearing cages) or other non-ferrous metals
  • cylinder liners
  • valve seat rings
  • piston rings
  • stainless steel pipes

 

 

Machine operation and control

The operating is through a desk with corresponding operating elements.
Starting at a certain equipment variant, these are supplemented by an operating terminal or even a touchscreen PC.

Various levels of automation are possible, which determines the number of machine operators.

All machine functions are visualized. All necessary parameters which are used by the machine control unit (e.g. mould rotation speed) can be filed in so-called recipes and be uploaded to the control unit at any time.

As an option, a process control system with database link can be integrated, which displays all relevant process parameters and files them for quality verifications.

Data interchange with an ERP system or even the assignment of serial numbers for each product are entirely possible.

Combinations with further external units such as:

  • casting furnace
  • outside brush for pipe treatment
  • sandblast booth for pipe treatment

 are possible and can be configured freely as per your wishes.
