Centrifugal casting plants in the hot-mould centrifugal process
Düker centrifugal casting plants trim cast iron into shape. These production plants are used worldwide for the manufacture of pipes, liners as well as other rotation-symmetrical castings made of different materials.
Our plants use the so-called hot-mould process. The moulds are pre-heated to a temperature between 180°C and 300°C. A casting quantity of up to 20,000 units is possible depending on the mould and the product material.
The centrifugal casting procedure ...
... is based on the principle of mould filling through centrifugal forces. The melt runs through a casting runnel into the mould rotating horizontalle or vertically. The insice contour of the centrifugal mould images the outside radius of the rotation-symmetrical casting which is produced. The inside diameter of the casting is defined through the melt quantity. The melt is pressed to the inside of the mould by the centrifugal forces and solidifies there. The casting is drawn out of the mould while still glowing.
